Gabriella’s sculptures illustrate the emotions and effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
My September 11, 2001 sculpture shows the horror of the destruction of the Twin Towers at the World Trade Center as towers of bones being consumed by fire. First, I individually formed more than 350 bones and arranged them to surround the flames. The American flags are there as a beacon of hope to encourage respect for liberty and life and to promote peace and understanding throughout the world.
These two sculptures are displayed in the library at the Museum of Tolerance, Los Angeles.
